Where venues are in Region XI, and getting there
The Region XI office is on the 2nd floor of the COPE Building on C. M. Recto Street in Poblacion, Davao City. Davao City is the largest city in Mindanao and hosts the region's testing capacity; the surrounding provinces connect by road, with Davao Oriental's coastal municipalities and Davao Occidental's far south the longest trips.
NAPOLCOM doesn't publish a fixed list of Region XI venues — testing sites are named in each examination announcement and can change between sittings depending on capacity and the schools available, and the exact venue and room are on each applicant's Notice of Admission. When you register online you choose this regional office; NAPOLCOM then assigns your specific site, which may not be the city nearest your home. Your notice is the only authoritative source, so check it the moment it's issued.
Slots & registration
Davao City draws applicants from across southern Mindanao and slots go quickly. Tagum and Digos are close enough for a day trip; Mati and the far south are not.
Weather to plan around
Davao is largely typhoon-free, and exam-day weather is rarely an issue. Pablo in 2012 hit Davao Oriental and Davao de Oro hard and is the exception residents remember.
