NAPOLCOM Mock Exam: What a Realistic One Looks Like, With Sample Questions
A NAPOLCOM mock exam is a timed, objective-type paper across the same four areas as the PNP Entrance Examination, sat by hand with no calculator. Its job is to find your weakest area before the real paper does. The free diagnostic on this site is 40 items in 40 minutes with a pass/fail verdict against the 70% mark; the full mock is 150 items in three hours.

NAPOLCOM Exam Practice Test: Free Questions by Area, and How to Drill
A practice test drills one area, untimed, with an explanation on every item; a mock exam sits all four under a clock. You need both. Use practice tests to fix the area a mock named as weakest, and use mocks to check that it moved. Sample items from all four areas are below, with answers.

How to Pass the NAPOLCOM Exam: An Eight-Week Plan Built Around the Pass Rate
Diagnose first, then spend the review where the marks are: general information from week one (it is reading, and it pays fastest), daily arithmetic by hand, a word list, and a fixed method for each logical item type. Sit full three-hour mocks in the last three weeks. Aim for 80% by area so 70% on the day has a margin.

Is the NAPOLCOM Exam Hard? The Pass Rate Says Yes. The Content Says Why.
The content is not hard: secondary-school English and arithmetic, logic, and a fixed body of general information. The pass rate is: 29.75% in April 2026, 36.61% in October 2025. The gap is pacing over three hours with no calculator, and a general information area that most examinees never study. Both are fixable in eight weeks.

NAPOLCOM Exam Coverage: What the PNP Entrance Exam Tests
The PNP Entrance Examination tests four areas: general information (the PNP, its laws, the Constitution and the criminal justice system), verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and logical reasoning. It is an objective-type paper sat in three hours with a 70% pass mark. NAPOLCOM's announcements name the areas but not an item count; reviewers report about 150 items.

NAPOLCOM Exam Passing Score: 70%, and What That Means in Items
You pass the PNP Entrance Examination with a general rating of at least 70%. There is no minimum per area, so a strong area can carry a weak one. On a 150-item paper that is 105 correct answers. Fewer than a third of examinees reached it in the April 2026 sittings, which says more about pacing than about difficulty.

PNP Entrance Exam vs Promotional Exam: Which NAPOLCOM Exam Is Yours?
The PNP Entrance Examination (PNPE) is for people not yet in the PNP, and for patrol officers on a temporary appointment; it tests general information, verbal, quantitative and logical reasoning. The PNP Promotional Examination (PROMEX) is for serving officers going up a rank, in four classes that follow the rank sought, and it tests police administration, operational procedures, ethics and general information. Same day, same 70% pass mark, different papers.

After Passing the NAPOLCOM Exam: What the Eligibility Gets You, and the Steps to Patrolman
Passing confers the PNP Entrance eligibility, which is one requirement for appointment as Patrolman or Patrolwoman. Appointment itself comes through PNP recruitment: an application against a regional quota, then the physical agility test, the physical, medical and dental examination, the neuro-psychiatric examination, a drug test, a character and background investigation and a selection board. A new Patrolman then completes field training as a condition of permanency under RA 8551.

NAPOLCOM Exam Day: What to Bring, What to Wear, and What Gets You Sent Home
Bring your Notice of Admission, a No. 2 pencil, a black ballpen and a valid ID with your photo and signature. Wear a plain white t-shirt or white polo shirt, dark pants and shoes, or you will not be admitted. Phones, gadgets, calculators and review materials are prohibited, and being caught with a phone is disqualification. Cheating bars a civilian from the exam permanently.
