Where venues are in Region X, and getting there
The Region X office is on the 3rd floor of CKY Center on Capistrano-Chaves Street in Cagayan de Oro City. The region's provinces connect to Cagayan de Oro by road; Bukidnon's upland municipalities are a long climb inland, Misamis Occidental is on the far side of Iligan Bay, and Camiguin is a short RoRo crossing from Balingoan.
NAPOLCOM doesn't publish a fixed list of Region X venues — testing sites are named in each examination announcement and can change between sittings depending on capacity and the schools available, and the exact venue and room are on each applicant's Notice of Admission. When you register online you choose this regional office; NAPOLCOM then assigns your specific site, which may not be the city nearest your home. Your notice is the only authoritative source, so check it the moment it's issued.
Slots & registration
Cagayan de Oro and Bukidnon generate the most applicants. Testing capacity is concentrated in the city, so applicants from Ozamiz and upland Bukidnon should plan for a long trip.
Weather to plan around
Northern Mindanao is mostly outside the typhoon belt, but Sendong in 2011 showed what a rare storm can do to Cagayan de Oro's river districts. Wet-season flooding on low roads is the practical risk.
